Developed through a collaborative partnership between Salesforce and Hiring Our Heroes. Salesforce Fellowships allow veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses to participate in 12-week fellowships, gaining targeted experience as a certified Salesforce professional.

Through Corporate Fellowships, solar industry employers provide work-based learning opportunities to transitioning service members and in turn, have the opportunity to recruit military talent while also developing a dynamic, resilient solar workforce.

Career Forward Fellowships
This fellowship opportunity is for military spouses, caregivers, veterans, and transitioning service members who have completed a Google Career Certificate through the Career Forward program. After completing a certificate in Data Analytics, IT Support, IT Automation with Python, Project Management, User Experience (UX) Design, or Digital Marketing & E-Commerce, military community members are eligible to gain on-the-job experience with a host company.

Learn More about Hosting a Fellow
Hiring Our Heroes provides a program manager to monitor each fellow’s participation and progress. Program managers coordinate with the fellow’s military leadership and act as a liaison with the host companies. Program managers also monitor and ensure the program’s effectiveness, handle inquiries from each fellow’s military leadership, and capture success and satisfaction rates from fellows and host companies.
Once your application is received, a fellowship program manager will contact you at the email address you provided. The program manager will offer further details about the program, including additional application requirements and timelines. If you are not contacted within three business days of your application submission, please contact the program manager in your area to confirm receipt of your application. Contact information for the Corporate Fellowship Program Managers can be found by referring to the Program Locations on our CFP page.
No, there is no cost associated with program participation for job seekers or employers. The certification training courses offered to fellows are provided by our partner, Simplilearn, at no cost to the service member. Certification exams are not included in the program.
A fellow who demonstrates progress and proves to be a good fit for their host company will have the opportunity to interview for an open position. Fellows will also be able to network with other companies within the fellowship program and interviews may be offered, given the proven track record of a fellow’s success.
