Hiring Our Heroes hosts a variety of programs and events for transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses. You’re invited to connect with veteran and military spouse candidates at in-person hiring events on military installations across the globe and in cities throughout the nation. At our events, learn best practices for recruiting and retaining the veteran and military spouse talent in your organization from our Veteran and Military Spouse Employment Council members. And experience the tremendous talent that veterans and military spouses can bring to your company by participating in our Corporate Fellowship Program.
Hiring Our Heroes Career Summits feature interactive and informative panel discussions, recruiter training, and facilitated discussions focused on improving competitive employment for service members, veterans, and military spouses. Summits are held on U.S. military installations across the globe and may include a networking reception for employers, military leaders, and job seekers, and a hiring fair.
At our Military Spouse Hiring Events, you’re invited to connect directly with HR experts and hiring managers from local and national companies. Build your professional network as you interact with dozens of companies at a free evening networking reception, then return the next day for a massive hiring fair. This event is free and is open to all military, veteran, and Gold Star spouses, as well as employers and service organizations. Service members and veterans are also welcome.
Hiring Our Heroes hosts a variety special programs and events including our annual Military Spouse Employment Summit, annual Lee Anderson Awards and Gala, as well as community engageent events to foster growing veteran-ready communities across the nation.
With the support of our private, public, and non-profit partners, HOH has been able to launch groundbreaking initiatives including Hiring 500,000 Heroes in 2011 and our most recent campaign, Hiring 100,000 Military Spouses in 2018.
Hiring Our Heroes Sports Expos are hosted in partnership with professional sports organizations in top and emerging hiring markets at venues across the United States. These events include interactive and informative panel discussions for recruiters and jobseekers and facilitated discussions focused on improving competitive employment for veterans. Attendees are able to connect directly with recruiters and hiring managers from local and national companies of all sizes. Expo attendees may be eligible to receive tickets to attend a game or another exclusive event.
Hiring Our Heroes offers an innovative suite of digital tools for veterans, service members, military spouses, and employers. Our digital tools include distinct resume builders for veterans and transitioning service members as well as military spouses; a jobs portal that allows veterans and service members to search for employment opportunities in America’s fastest growing job markets and industries; an interactive employer best practices site; and a digital research tool that connects service members and veterans with the resources they need to navigate their military-to-civilian transition.
The Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship Programs provide transitioning service members, military spouses, and veterans with professional training and hands-on experience in the civilian workforce. The professional development offered through the program prepares candidates for meaningful civilian careers. Participating corporations benefit by gaining access to the best and brightest transitioning service members, military spouses, and veterans, while also developing a more comprehensive understanding of the veteran and milspouse job market.
