Virtual Hiring Event Resources
Thank you for registering for an upcoming Hiring Our Heroes virtual hiring event.
Overview
Attendee demographics vary by event, but typically you can expect 55% of candidates to be veterans, 35% to be active duty service members, and 10% to identify as military spouses and caregivers. Be sure to join the pre-event live employer orientation meeting for an overview of registrants for specific events.
Please review the following items to optimize your virtual event experience.
Event Timeline and Deadlines
Please note, failure to comply with the deadlines below may result in your booth being removed from the event and access to reports blocked. Future event requests may also be denied.
6 p.m. ET - 10 Days Prior to Event
Booth Access:
- You will receive an email from notifications@brazen.com when your booth is built and ready to be accessed. If you do not see this email, please check your spam filter.
- Login: https://app.brazenconnect.com
- The event will not appear on your Brazen dashboard before this date.
- Please DO NOT use a third-party login (LinkedIn, Google, etc.) to access Brazen. Only use the company email address you used to register for the event.

6 p.m. ET - Friday Prior to Event
Have at least 3 representatives added to your booth:
- NOTE: Attendees will be in different phases of their career search, from exploration to ready-to-hire.
- Representatives should be prepared to speak about nationwide opportunities, job families, and/or provide introductions to the appropriate recruiter.
- Representatives should be prepared to have a conversation with job seekers.
- Please DO NOT only send the careers link for your company and then close out the chat.
6 p.m. ET - Monday, Week of Event
Booth Setup Deadline:
- Please ensure your booth has content and representatives are added.
- Booths without these items are subject to removal at this time, and your space could be offered to another organization on the waiting list.
Noon ET - Day of Event
Final Modification Deadline:
- Booths will be locked at noon ET on the event day. Please finalize all content and add representatives before noon ET on the day of the event.

Booth Preparation
Booth Requirements:
- Company Logo/Graphic (150px x 150px; gif, jpeg, jpg, or png)
- Booth Image (500px x 300px)
- Text for the “Booth Overview” (100 words or less)
- Banner Image (1024px x 344px)
- Text for the Booth “Home” Section
- Website link for company’s “Careers” page
- Overview of company’s mission
- Breakdown of company divisions/job families
- Brief list of benefits available
- Text for Booth “Opportunities” Section
- Links to at least five position descriptions
- Include two jobs that do not require specialized industry experience as entry points for transferrable experience
Minimum requirements:
- 50% or more of chats initiated should be invited to use audio/video.
- Booth Preview: Company Graphic, 1-2 sentences describing company mission and work regions.
- Booth Home: Careers Link, Remote work availability Yes/No/Area-restricted, List of states or regions (if more than 10 states), international?
- Booth Opportunities: List of company business areas or functional areas, 3 links to sample job listings
- Representatives: 3 or more must be added to the booth in advance. The booth must be staffed with at least 3 reps for the duration of event. Reps should be logged in no more than 5 minutes late. Unattended booths will be hidden or removed at our staff's discretion and report access restricted. If you cannot meet the 3 rep minimum, you must notify event staff and note reduced staffing on the first line of your booth home content.
- Deadline: Booths not meeting above requirements by Monday 6pm ET the week of the event are subject to removal without notice and may not be reinstated. Lack of compliance may jeopardize future event registrations.
Recommended Information:
- "About Us" section with information about company culture, employee resource group, company’s history, etc.
- Video (YouTube or Vimeo link – embed code)
Prepare Your Team
Prepare yourself and your team members by:
- Verifying representatives complete Brazen University Training Modules

- Completing Technical Requirements (see next section below) prior to the event
- Learning more about the different types of candidates you may interact with www.vetemployerroadmap.org.

Please check your technical capabilities at least 2-3 days prior to the event to allow time to troubleshoot any issues.
