This year’s summit was especially relevant in relation to the nation’s economic recovery following the global pandemic.

In March 2020, Hiring Our Heroes faced a pressing question: How would job seekers connect with employers if they weren’t shaking hands, exchanging business cards, and delivering elevator pitches at hiring events?

We are proud of what we’ve accomplished during our first 10 years as an organization. More importantly, we are excited to see what the future holds for Hiring Our Heroes and innovative ways we can serve our military community during the next decade.

Less than three years after its launch and eight months before the campaign’s deadline, Hiring 100,000 Military Spouses campaign surpassed its goal with more than 108,000 commitments.

In total, we saw 14,914 job seekers and 3,490 employers in attendance at our events in 2019.
