Hiring Our Heroes hosts a variety of events for service members. From Career Summits to fellowship and apprenticeship opportunities, HOH can help you every step of the way.
Career Summits feature interactive and informative panel discussions, recruiter training, and facilitated discussions focused on improving competitive employment for service members, veterans, and military spouses. Summits are held on U.S. military installations around the globe and may include a networking reception for employers, military leaders, and job seekers, and a hiring fair.

This tool allows you to input your military experience, get a civilian translation of the skills you gained in the military, and make your resume searchable with thousands of employers committed to hiring veterans.
According to our study, Veterans in the Workplace, the longer you wait to prepare for your separation or retirement from military service the tougher your transition. As a matter of fact, four out of five veterans surveyed said that they faced some period of unemployment after leaving the service. Hiring Our Heroes Sports Expos are hosted in partnership with professional sports organizations at venues across the United States. These events include interactive and informative panel discussions for recruiters and job seekers, and facilitated discussions focused on improving competitive employment for veterans. Attendees are able to connect directly with recruiters and hiring managers from local and national companies of all sizes. Expo attendees may be eligible to receive tickets to attend a game or another exclusive event.
The Veteran Employment Transition (VET) Roadmap provides transitioning service members and veterans resources to navigate the employment landscape and succeed in the civilian workforce. Get immediate access to the resources you need to make important career decisions.
The Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program (CFP) is an innovative program that provides transitioning service members with professional training and hands-on experience in the civilian workforce. The fellowship features a 12-week syllabus, held three times a year at select military installations and in host cities around the country. Fellowship candidates are carefully matched with participating companies based on the specific skills of the candidate and the preferences of both parties. Candidates then undergo exclusive on-the-job training at their host company, gaining firsthand experience in the private sector. This knowledge is amplified with weekly educational sessions held as a cohort in a classroom setting.
