Am I eligible to apply for a corporate fellowship?

The Corporate Fellowship Program is a DoD Skillbridge program open to transitioning service member candidates whose timeline aligns with the program and who meet these education and experience requirements:

Fellows must be on active duty
Fellows must be within 180 days of transition from military service at the time of the 12-week program
Fellows must meet education and leadership experience requirements

Is there a cost to participate in the program?

No, there is no cost associated with program participation for job seekers or employers. The certification training courses offered to fellows are provided by our partner, Simplilearn, at no cost to the service member. Certification exams are not included in the program.

What happens after I apply? (CFP)

Once your application is received, a fellowship program manager will contact you at the email address you provided. The program manager will offer further details about the program, including additional application requirements and timelines. If you are not contacted within three business days of your application submission, please contact the program manager in your area to confirm receipt of your application. How do fellows obtain approval from their military command to participate in the program?

The Corporate Fellowship Program is an approved Department of Defense SkillBridge Program. Transitioning service members from any branch of service may apply if they meet the eligibility requirements. DoD Instruction 1322.29 allows service members to participate in the program with command approval. Program managers will provide candidates with the necessary documentation to obtain approval. The U.S. Air Force Academy Airman & Family Readiness Center supports customers in achieving short- and long-term employment, education and training, and career goals through employment skills counseling, resources for self-employment, small business, and entrepreneurial efforts. We offer labor market information, employment trend tracking, skills development workshops, job referrals, networks to local employers, and on- and off-base resources.

Current programs help with developing a career plan, establishing community network contacts and utilizing employment listings. Classes are open to family members and civilian employees.
