The Skilled Trades Academy is a six-week, in-person training program based in Jacksonville, North Carolina designed for military-connected job seekers who are ready to build a career in the construction industry. Participants receive college-level instruction, hands-on training, and all necessary supplies, provided at no cost as part of this unpaid fellowship.

Fellowships for spouses of currently serving U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Space Force, to include active reserve and National Guard components, are supported by the Department of Defense’s Military Spouse Career Accelerator Pilot (MSCAP).

Step 1. To begin your fellowship application process, please first visit DoD's Spouse Education & Career Opportunities site and click the green button to use your DS Logon credentials to create an account.

Step 2. Then visit the MSCAP registration page, log in to your SECO account, and complete the short registration form at the bottom of the page. You’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to complete your fellowship application.
