Senior Director, Strategic Communications
The Senior Director of Strategic Communications will serve as a key member of the organization’s executive team to lead the strategic direction, development, and execution of the organization’s communications strategy. The ideal candidate will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for storytelling, media relations, digital content, and creative services. The candidate will ensure consistent, compelling messaging across all owned and earned channels to engage and influence key stakeholders, including military-connected job seekers, employers, funders, and public sector partners. The senior director will be responsible for overseeing one direct report and managing a team of seven people, including full-time employees, dedicated consultants, and contractors.

Senior Director, Strategic Impact and Engagement
The Senior Director of Strategic Impact and Engagement reports directly to the SVP of Programs and Events in support of all strategic and special events at Hiring Our Heroes (HOH). The senior director will lead a team responsible for planning and executing special events and engagements, including Community Engagement Events, the Military Spouse Employment Summit, and the HOH Annual Gala.
The ideal candidate will design and deliver events that drive thought leadership, convene stakeholders, and elevate HOH’s role as a trusted voice in workforce development. This includes hosting executive roundtables and forums that foster collaboration across the public and private sectors. The candidate will ensure that events maximize community impact, strengthen partnerships, and generate revenue that sustain and grow HOH’s mission. The candidate will also oversee one direct report and manage a team of four people, including both full-time staff and dedicated consultants.
