Wellbeing Guidebook

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs present a Practical Guide for Employers on Wellbeing in the Workplace.

This is the culmination of more than six months of work by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes, the President’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End the National Tragedy of Suicide (PREVENTS) Executive Order Task Force, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Secretary’s Center for Strategic Partnerships.

The challenges associated with mental wellness will only increase as a result of COVID-19 and the current economic crisis. Businesses are on the front lines and can help to destigmatize mental health, raise awareness and provide education about available resources, and ensure they have medical coverage that helps them address their challenges.

This guide will help businesses of all sizes take measures to prioritize mental health and emotional wellbeing in the workplace.

 

About PREVENTS

The President’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a National Tragedy of Suicide (PREVENTS) focuses on a holistic public health approach to suicide prevention. The PREVENTS task force is co-chaired by the secretary of the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Robert Wilkie, and the director of the Domestic Policy Council, Brooke Rollins, and partners with stakeholders from multiple sectors, including nonprofits, state and local organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and government leaders, to implement best practices to improve health and prevent suicide.
