Stories Project

At Hiring Our Heroes, we are shaping the national conversation as it relates to veteran and military spouse employment – the triumphs, the challenges, and the journeys.

And because every career journey is unique, we want to invite you to be a part of telling our story.

We would like to highlight transitions, expectations, and advice in this video project.

If You’re a Veteran

We’d love to hear about how you planned your separation from military service and the career advice you received during this transition.

What advice helped you land your post-military job? Which resources do you recommend to other veterans who are making the transition from battlefield to board room? How did Hiring Our Heroes play a role in your transition?

Whether you followed a friend’s advice or forged your own path, we’d love to include it in our video project.

If You’re a Military Spouse

We’d love to hear about how you navigated the challenges of employment among relocations and deployments.

Did you receive any advice about military-friendly employers? Do you disclose that you’re married to a service member when interviewing for a job? How did you convince your supervisor to let you work remotely after a PCS?

We’d love to share your words of wisdom for future military spouses.
