The Fort Bliss Military Spouse Professional Network boasts nearly 1,500 career-minded military spouse members. These members share tips, tricks, job openings, or even lend an ear to fellow members.
The work that is done through these networks would not happen were it not for our fantastic volunteers.
Listen in as Danielle Maloy and Nathalia Rodriguez, two volunteers at the Fort Bliss Military Spouse Professional Network, share their experiences as MSPN members, volunteers, and military spouses on this week’s episode of the Sitrep podcast.
“This hits home for me because I had such a struggle trying to find a career here in the El Paso area.” – Danielle Maloy, volunteer with the Fort Bliss Military Spouse Professional Network
“Don’t ever say that you’re ‘just a military spouse’ because there are so many amazing qualities that go behind the title ‘military spouse’ and that’s part of your brand. You need to own it and use it to your advantage.” – Danielle Maloy, volunteer with the Fort Bliss Military Spouse Professional Network
“Once you get that business card, send an email explaining who you are again so that they know who you are now and know who you are in the future. You meet so many people. They meet so many people. You have to find a way to make yourself stick out and just following up with them shows that you are committed to growing this relationship.” – Nathalia Rodriguez, volunteer with the Fort Bliss Military Spouse Professional Network
“Being a part of this network has opened up so many other networking opportunities both professionally and personally for us.” – Danielle Maloy, volunteer with the Fort Bliss Military Spouse Professional Network
“I’ve found that everyone is very genuine about helping military spouses obtain – not just jobs – but meaningful careers here that they are able to take with them to their next duty station.” – Danielle Maloy, volunteer with the Fort Bliss Military Spouse Professional Network
