Discover Talent within the Military Community
Explore the tremendous value that veterans and military spouses can bring to your company by participating in HOH's Fellowship Programs. These programs provide transitioning service members, veterans, military spouses, and military caregivers with professional training and hands-on experience in the civilian workforce, expanding corporate America’s understanding of the military community and providing a pipeline of that talent into civilian careers.
On November 13, 2019, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, in collaboration with the President’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End the National Tragedy of Suicide (PREVENTS) Executive Order Task Force and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, launched Wellbeing in the Workplace, a collaborative effort to prioritize mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Identifying Opportunities and Addressing Barriers to Entry
Established to connect military spouses with companies committed to hiring, Military Spouse Economic Empowerment Zones (MSEEZ) are collaborative efforts among the local business, civic, and military communities that establish employment networks in municipalities around the country.
Working with a broad array of public and private sector supporters, MSEEZ foster collaboration among local stakeholders and work to identify opportunities as well as barriers to entry for military spouses seeking meaningful employment.
The people who choose to serve in our military come from every corner of the country, represent every demographic, have diverse backgrounds and experiences. So, in our experience, you're inherently finding diverse talent when you source military talent.

A Recruiter's Perspective
It is truly a privilege to take part in hiring from our nation's finest, bettering the organization I am a part of through their employment, and hopefully, making a positive impact on their lives and the lives of their families all inclusively.

Recognizing Contributions to Veteran and Spouse Hiring
Each year, Hiring Our Heroes recognizes the tremendous contributions of those who have gone above and beyond to help our nation’s heroes. Awards are presented to companies and individuals that have developed and applied best practices for addressing the employment challenges faced by America’s veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses.
The Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Impact Awards recognize and celebrate the many accomplishments of businesses, community leaders, and military spouses as they create strong communities that support and provide economic opportunities for military spouses.
To recruit at a Hiring Our Heroes hiring event, nationwide employers must have at least two open positions in the location of the hiring fair and at least five positions open nationally, while small businesses must have at least one open local position. Employers are attending to recruit employees only, not to recruit for multi-level marketing, direct sales, or consulting roles, nor to recruit students or attract business.
For complete eligibility details, contact HIRINGOURHEROES@USCHAMBER.COM.
There is no cost for job seekers or employers to register for or attend a Hiring Our Heroes event.
