The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Hiring Our Heroes Hiring Fair, sponsored by Call of Duty Endowment and Toyota, scheduled for November 15th, 2013, at the Warwick National Guard Armory located in Warwick, RI is committed to making this one-of–a-kind FREE hiring fair a win-win for employers and veteran/military spouse job seekers.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Hiring Our Heroes event is partnered locally by the Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce Coalition, the Rhode Island Committee of Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR), the Rhode Island National Guard, the Rhode Department of Labor and Training, the U. S. Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs, The American Legion, NBC News, and other local partners.

The Hiring Our Heroes employment workshop consists of a classroom session beginning one hour prior to the hiring fair followed by HR professionals conducting one-on-one mentoring sessions with all pre-registered participants. Mentoring sessions focus on resume building; resume writing, and interviewing techniques for all job-seeking veteran and service member participants.
Interested candidates must complete the FREE electronic pre-registration in order to participate. A maximum of 50 participants will be accepted for the full workshop. Once the pre-registered candidates have their coaching sessions, the opportunity may be available for “walk ins” to have a coaching session through the end of the Fair (depending on availability).
