Join us April 4, 2013 beginning at 9:00 a.m. to attend the workshop conducted by GE. The workshop consists of a classroom session, followed by GE’s own veteran employees conducting one-on-one resume reviews, practice interviewing and coaching. From 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a job fair for veteran job seekers, active duty military members, guard and reserve members, and military spouses at the Hotel Maya, 701 Queensway Dr. Long Beach, Ca 90802.

This event will be a one-of-a-kind FREE hiring fair for both employers and job seekers.

This General Electric (GE) sponsored hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Long Beach Chamber, the Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the California Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, The American Legion, California Employment Development Department NBC News, and other local partners.

Interested candidates must complete the FREE electronic pre-registration in order to participate.  A maximum of 50 participants will be accepted for the full workshop. Once the pre-registered candidates have their coaching sessions, the opportunity may be available for “walk ins” to have a coaching session through the end of the fair (depending on availability).  Please sign up here.
