Join us Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., for a job fair for veteran job seekers, active duty military members, guard and reserve members, and military and veteran spouses, at the Lake City American Legion Post 57 2602 SW Main Blvd. Lake City, FL 32025.

This event will be a one-of-a-kind FREE hiring fair for both employers and job seekers.

This University of Phoenix sponsored hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, The American Legion, the Lake City Chamber of Commerce, Office of the Mayor, Lake City FL, the Department of Labor's Veterans' Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the Florida Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), Florida Crown Workforce Board, Inc., FL DEO, NBC News, and other local partners.

University of Phoenix Employment Workshop

The University of Phoenix employment workshop consists of a classroom session beginning at noon followed by HR professionals  conducting one-on-one mentoring sessions with all pre-registered participants.  Mentoring sessions focus on resume building, resume writing, and interviewing techniques for all job-seeking veteran and service member participants.

Interested candidates must complete the FREE electronic pre-registration in order to participate.  A maximum of 50 participants will be accepted for the full workshop.  Once the pre-registered candidates have their coaching sessions, the opportunity may be available for “walk ins” to have a coaching session through the end of the Fair (depending on availability)
