This hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Office of the Mayor, Columbia, the Department of Labor's Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the South Carolina Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), The American Legion, SC DEW, Sc Works, NBC News, and other local partners.

The Hiring Our Heroes employment workshop consists of a classroom session beginning one hour prior to the hiring fair. This will be followed one-on-one mentoring sessions with all pre-registered and walk-in participants to be conducted throughout the day. Mentoring sessions focus on resume building, resume writing, and interviewing techniques for all job-seeking veterans and service member participants.
Interested candidates must complete the FREE electronic pre-registration in order to participate. A maximum of 50 participants will be accepted for the full workshop. Once the pre-registered candidates have their coaching sessions, the opportunity may be available for “walk ins” to have a coaching session through the end of the Fair (depending on availability).
