Join us Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. for a job fair for veteran job seekers, active duty military, members of the National Guard and reserve components, and military spouses at the Holiday Inn in South Burlington, VT.

This Toyota sponsored hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; local Chambers of Commerce; the Department of Labor Veterans' Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS); Vermont Committee, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR); the United States Army Reserve (USAR); the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; the American Legion; NBC News; and other local partners.

While priority entrance for veterans, military spouses, members of the National Guard and reserve components, and active duty military will continue for the entire event, exclusive admittance will be from 10:00 a.m. - noon. From noon - 2:00 p.m., the general public will be welcomed.

Hiring Our Heroes Employment Workshop

The Hiring Our Heroes employment workshop consists of a classroom session beginning one hour prior to the hiring fair. This will be followed one-on-one mentoring sessions with all pre-registered and walk-in participants to be conducted throughout the day.  Mentoring sessions focus on resume building, resume writing, and interviewing techniques for all job-seeking veterans and service member participants.

Interested candidates must complete the FREE electronic pre-registration in order to participate.  A maximum of 50 participants will be accepted for the full workshop.  Once the pre-registered candidates have their coaching sessions, the opportunity may be available for “walk ins” to have a coaching session through the end of the Fair (depending on availability).
