Transitioning Service Members: Corporate Fellowship Program Eligibility Requirements

The Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program (CFP) can help launch your civilian career in the industry best-suited to your education, skillset, and experience level.

Active duty candidates must:

  • Be on active duty and within 180 days of transition (separation or retirement) from military service at the time of the 12 week program
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree and three or more years of leadership experience (or equivalent related experience) or an associate degree and five or more years of leadership experience (or equivalent related experience)

Military Spouses: Corporate Fellowship Program Eligibility Requirements

Military Spouse Fellowships are available in select locations across the county. We currently offer fellowship opportunities in Fort Carson, CO, Fort Hood, TX, Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA, and in the Maryland/Washington, D.C. area (please scroll down for information about the Maryland/DC program).

Military spouse candidates must:

  • Possess a DoD military ID card
  • Have current orders that show 18 months remaining in the local area
  • Have a bachelor’s degree with three or more years of work experience or an associate degree with five or more years of work experience
  • Be available to attend all classroom sessions and have transportation available

Maryland/Washington, DC:  Corporate Fellowship Program Eligibility Requirements

We currently offer fellowship opportunities for recently transitioned Veterans in the Maryland/Washington, DC area. Retirees are not eligible for this program.

Recently Transitioned Veteran candidates must:

  • Reside in Maryland or the District of Columbia
  • Must be honorably separated within the last 48 months
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree with three or more years of work experience or an associate degree with five or more years of work experience

Military Spouse candidates must:

  • Reside in Maryland or the District of Columbia
  • Be a spouse of an active duty service member
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree with three or more years of work experience or an associate degree with five or more years of work experience
